Auditions are submitted online in video format. Please upload your audition to YouTube in either Public or Unlisted format.
Audition tapes are allowed to include previous performances, provided that the submitted performance took place within one year prior to the audition submission date.
Performances should be no longer than 8 minutes long.
The producers will select the entries to proceed to our finals competition no later than January 10th 2024.
Anyone submitting an audition must be available to perform for our finals competition on February 10th, 2024. A dress rehearsal earlier in the day is also required.
Contestants selected for the finals showcase are required to sign a publicity waiver, granting permission for the use of their image or video in promotional materials for both this year's event and any future events. Contestants who are below the legal age of majority must obtain consent from their parent or guardian to participate and sign the publicity waiver.
As this is a family friendly event – G or PG rated performances only.
Kitchissippi Productions Inc retains the authority to change the event's location or date in the event of unforeseen circumstances. We also maintain the prerogative to cancel the competition if an insufficient number of entries are received or if an insufficient number of tickets are sold. No compensation will be provided to participants should the event be cancelled or changed.
At the event, awards will be presented to the top 3 performances. Additionally, the 1st place winner will receive a prize of $800.00, payable by cheque after the event's conclusion. Cash prizes will be distributed within 30 days following the finals competition, with cheques being sent out by mail.
Performers are responsible for arranging their own transportation to/from the venue if selected to participate in the finals competition.
Substances which alter the condition of the stage for other competitors are prohibited (e.g. tossing sparkles, baby powder, water/liquid, body paint, etc.). If it cannot be easily swept off the stage, it should not be put on the stage.
Dangerous props such as live animals and/or any routines which contain fire or pyrotechnic devices, guns, explosives, swords and/or knives etc. are also prohibited. Special circumstances may apply, please contact us for an exception to this rule.
Kitchissippi Productions Inc. holds the discretion to modify the competition rules at any given time and for any reason.
